105th Battle of the Blues in Hill Capital

The annual cricket match between Kandy St. Anthony’s and Trinity College, known as the “Battle of the blues in Hill Capital,” is scheduled to take place over two days, tomorrow (15th) and the following day (16th).

Today, the heads of schools and players from both sides participated in a press conference to announce the event. This year marks the 105th edition of the annual cricket tournament.

Players such as world-renowned cricketers Muttiah Muralitharan, Piyal Wijetunga, and Ruwan Kalpage hail from St. Anthony’s College, while cricketing stars like Kumar Sangakkara, Niroshan Dickwella, Matisha Pathirana, and Lahiru Kumara were born from Trinity College.
